J-RO School of Music Vision & Mission Statement
These are our values. Our vision and mission define who we are and who we want to become.
We keep these statements in mind with every decision we make.

Problem: People want to learn to play music, but they get frustrated, bored, distracted, stuck, doubtful, embarrassed, guilty, busy, overwhelmed, stressed, angry, and experience other negative emotions and negative environments that paralyze them and prevent them from taking intentional action towards their dream of becoming a confident musician and supporting their family in becoming confident musicians.
Vision: To be the world’s most student-centric, results-based music school where any person anywhere can become the confident musician they always wanted to be and pursue their passion for music as a lifelong hobby, part-time profession, or full-time career that feeds their family, their community, and their deepest dreams and desires in life.
Mission: 1. To provide a positive learning environment, a supportive community, and an individualized teaching approach that fosters lifelong relationships, learning, and a fully integrated life. 2. To make success and integration in music and life inevitable and enjoyable for each one of our students and staff.
Principles: J-RO staff and students are: other-focused, kind, hardworking, and determined
J-RO staff and students: live on fire, think like master musicians, create positive habits, build lifelong relationships, enjoy the process, ask how can I serve the students and staff today, trade value for value, anticipate the needs of the students, staff and leaders, lead like Jesus, set clear expectations, practice what they preach, put everything back in its home, anticipate what needs to be done, anticipate others’ needs, make music together, listen to music together, set and respect boundaries, follow through, follow up, listen actively, learn from failure, put first things first, prioritize marriage and family over work, become the best version of themselves, make others feel important.
J-RO staff and students are characterized by: joy, mastery, lifelong learning, growth mindset, positive self-image, self-discipline, self-control, self- awareness, love, fun, ownership, personal responsibility, humility, radical honesty, order, organization, open communication, clear communication, forgiveness, prevention, understanding, and empathy
